Having been proclaimed a World Heritage Site, Ban Chiang is one of the most outstanding archeological sites of prehistoric civilization in Southeast Asia, reflecting ancient culture, social as well as technological evolution over 5600 years ago.

Taking great pride in its World Heritage Site, the Ban Chiang community is pleased to welcome visitors with home stay accommodation (more than 10 houses available for you) where you can experience the local culture and lifestyle. Ban Chiang villagers take the pleasure to offer the following:

1. Simple lifestyle and delicious Thai Phuan dishes in an easy and relaxed atmosphere.

2. Exchange of knowledge on folk arts and culture, as well as traces of over 5600 years old civilization of this World Heritage Site.

3. Get close to nature and learn of its richness through agro tourism at Ban Chiang's dairy farms and Maxed cultivation farms.

Visiting Ban Chiang is a good value for your money, as you will be offered an opportunity to experience ecotourism and agro tourism at the same time.

If you have your own group, try this package - A 2 Days/1night program designed for groups. You pay only 300 B/day which includes 3 basic meals plus accommodation. The first day, you will visit Ban Chiang's cotton weaving quarter in the morning and then in the evening you can join the welcome ceremony and have dinner before retiring to your accommodation. The final day, you can offer food for the monks in the early morning in front of your home stay, after that you can visit Ban Chaing Winery, do some wine tasting and shop for local wines, and then we will take you to Ban Chiang National Museum and excavation site at Wat Pho Si Nai. In the afternoon you can try and learn the art of hand woven Basketry, pottery, painting and more.

You can rent a bicycle for sightseeing only 50 B/day/person. And if you don't have your own group, that's fine, it’s still the same price.
