Udon Thani's 'Muang Thong Market' is now a major supplier of fresh produce from Chantaburi province. This market is the first and biggest place of its kind in the upper Northeast. Mr. Komin Thekananon, the managing director of Meung Thong Market said his markets main aim is to benefit the poor by providing fresh produce at lower prices. The market will provide fresh fruit for lower prices than all the major supermarkets and shops.
He said that this project is in accordance with the government campaign to help the Thai people, buy and eat more Thai fruits. He wants people of Udon Thani to increase their level of health by eating more fruit.
