Udon Thani Public Library Week, August 1 – 6, 2006

Mr. Hanchai Thekananon, the Mayor of Udon Thani said the Public Library of Udon Thani City is to hold a library week from August 1st to 6th 2006 at the Public library which located at Udon Dutsadee Rd., Mak Khang Sub-district, a 3 stores building, opposite from Noneniwat Temple. The purpose of this library is for Udon Thani students, children or their parents to search and gain knowledge and to make the aware that reading is very important part of their life.

The King & Queen exhibition, The Favorite books exhibition and The Best Reader Contest 2006 will be held this week also. Moreover children can listen the tales, there will be family activities and a walking rally. High school student activities are to compete for the library slogan & logo, answering question from the book and painting.

It is hoped that the public will enjoy this exhibition and the new library, this a good first impression for them and after this first experience it is hoped that people will love to go there for community and reading in the future.
