On August 4, 2006 at 12.30 PM, Udon Thani Police was informed that a child drowned at a Ban man pool, Ban Kaw Sub District, Udon Thani City. The police rushed to the pool with a doctor and a team of Udon Thani Hospital.

They found a 4 year boy unconciuos next to the pool without any clothes. The child Nutthapol Phongsalin, who lives in 98, Moo 7, Ban Man, Ban Kaw Sub District, was playing with his friends next to the pool. While they were playing, he suddenly disappeared. They then saw him in the water, pulled him out and ran and told his parents. His parents called for help and rushed over to assist him. Nutthapol died before arriving at the health center.
