The police learned the children were on their way to Samut Prakarn (south of Bangkok) after running away from their parents.
The children said they usually stayed with their Aunt in Samut Prakarn, but decided they wanted to live with their parents in Nong Khai. So last month they all jumped on their cycles and made their way north. An hour or so into the journey someone spotted them and gave them a lift all the way to Nong Khai.
After living with their parents for a short while they witnessed some unpleasant incidents, their father was intoxicated most of the time and hit their Mother often. They didn’t like what they saw so they decided to run away back to Samut Prakarn on their bikes. They only made it as far as Udon Thani before collapsing from exhaustion.
The police called the Mother and she said she was happy for them to return back to their Aunt. The police are making arrangements to send them back there safely.
