A cool New Year

It's been very cold in NK lately. Everyone is sleeping with clothes on, and walking round the house dressed up like Eskimoes in the day time waiting for the sun.

I am teetotal currently and avoiding alcohol for medical reasons, (note it keeps you slimmer and healthier too). Instead I drink coffee (not more than 3 a day) and am currently huddled round a cappuccino, with a long sleeved shirt, sweat shirt, anorak and socks on trying to keep warm. I'll have to resort to the hair dryer if it gets any worse (though I note the forecast is warmer).

My family are going away to visit their family over the New Year, so I'll be left on my own. So I'm thinking of gravitating towards one of the larger metropoli (plural of metropolis?), if only to keep warm.

OT can put up with the cold. But to be cold and unable to have a few sundowners I would rather throw myself of of the friendship bridge. And then I'd have a suitable medical reason to abstain alcohol on new years eve ?

OT, the water is too cold for jumping off bridges. I can think of quite a few alternatives before I get to that.

Yes it was very cold in Udon yesterday. Max temp i got was 22, a bit better today at 27 now.
I must say it was about 50 years ago since i seen one of those hand knitted willy warmers, as we used to call them. Did not know they still made them. Looks a tat small though, or is it the cold that shrinks them.
