Not much flair in Thai architecture nowadays, sadly.

Nice house... I'd hate to have to clean the windows.

P.S. Alan, now that you've finished the house you can now finish the title of this thread...

i do see one flaw...............Ronnie, did you catch it.............that upstairs balcony isn't completely covered, maybe by design, but can imagine a bit wet at rainy season......again, very nice house 8)

if my calculations are correct that amounts to about 13,000 baht per meter squared...would you build a 180 sqm house at the same price per sq m???

The antique style doors and stairway handle are hurting the eyes. They don't fit to the rest of the buliding - not at all.

that could be any house of that size anywhere in the world. sorry , but for that sort of money you could of ended up with something stunning , not mundane . im not critising alan as a builder , because he does a nice tidy job . it could be the owners or the designer with little to no flair , but it lacks the wow factor to me , all it has going for it is its BIG . now i realise all this depends on personal taste , but just take a close look at the staircase and stairwell , is this not what you see in nearly every new house in thailand , and houses that cost a lot less i might add, if i said pretty basic , would i be wrong . again look at the front wall and gates , pretty basic . im not talking average thai with lots of stainless steel , but something with style and class , not a gate that looks like its knocked together out of old cargo pallets . :-" :-" :-" :-" for 13000 a square metre it could of been so much more .
