Sort of looks like a Thai built house, square box style, surely if you are a westerner you could design a bit more style into it. You should go and look at the new housing estates in Pattaya. I looked at one that the son of the guy who did the Irish clock designed and built.

Great designs.

I suspect if thats what the customer is paying for then thats what the builder is building.

if you want to see a proper square box style house then go to the u.k. .there the builders keep this tradition even today. for the builder a roof should only have two sides anything more would be too complicated.

Alan- I'm curious about the low-slung patio roof extension (on the right side in pictures 1&2)...Did the owner give any particular reason for that?

Alan a question, if I were to buy a set of plans here in Oz would you be able to build the house to those specs. Sorry if that sounds a bit stupid but there are some really nice designs here where energy efficiency has been incorporated in these designs as well as materials. Keep posting those photo's I like to keep an eye on things :D

Alan, the pictures look good; my wife and I enjoy seeing samples of your work. Pictures of the interior would also be appreciated along with some more details i.e. sq meters, cost etc. Thanks!
