Aesthetically, it looks nice! I noticed the owner (?) decided to skip adhering to international code on things like the railings on the stairs and balcony and perhaps the interior step dimensions. Is that commonplace?

Also, where did you get the windows and doors? I like them.

I love your approach of building elevated on firm ground, then back filling. It makes soooooo much more sense than plopping down dirt, compacting it, waiting forever, then digging it back up only to have it shift later after the weight of the house and living/road vibrations do their thing to it. Bravo!

If this is Thailand (it is), then it's common. Take a look at the extremely steep entrance ramp for the mostly-unused car park near the center circle......or the steep outdoor stairs leading to the brand new Downtown Plaza, between the center and clock circles. Most cars would have a difficult time climbing the first and anyone over the age of 50 will have a difficult time with the second. Both built recently.

The houses is built to a high spec ,white insulaition block walls , wood and granito flooring , grade A aluminium windows , over sizes 2.2 meter high doors (Imported Africa hard wood 100% dry)2 meter PVC bathroom doors from a Bangkok company .Before we build any house we ask the client as to what finishing details and spec they would like ,we also offer advice at this stage then a full spec list and contract is drawn up in English and Thai for the client Wife and husband to read .I don’t like to flash all these documents over the forums as people might steal them and use them with other builders as they are so well put together and easy to use when getting a price to build a house . We used a lawyer based in Khorat to help with all of this. There is also two simple but nice built in kitchens in this house but we were unable to take pics as they were covered in boxes of the clients furnishings he brought over from Holland in a container. Thanks for your input guys I will show you pics of two more houses we are building at the moment next week cheers again..
