A question on WEB site languages.

I have to assume my problem is the result of WEB sites picking up on my IP address location. Anyone notice a ever increasing number of sites appearing in the Thai language on initial display? Some are easy to sort with a clearly marked ‘English’ icon but some are not!

Is there a way to set a default to English on all English domain sites? Been looking at FireFox add-ons without much success.

In firefox select tools > options > content and then select English as your default viewing language.

Thanks Lee, there were 2 options listed one English-USA [en-us] selected as 1st choice and the other English [en] swapping them did not help eg this site:- http://www.speedtest.net/

Looks like that site is using your IP address to determine your language. I personally think this is a bad idea by the site owner. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way around this, if I hear of something I'll let you know.

Another option would be to use a proxy server when browsing. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -standard/
