A Rant Illegal immigration in the US

Postby bumper » April 6, 2009, 11:27 am

You know everyone one of us do upmost to try to comply to the rule of law in Thailand to be here. Why should it be any different in our home countries. Years ago the Cheif of police in Santa Ana California stated publicly that his department would not enforce immigration law. Since when does a cop have the authority to ignore the law of the land. Since it became politically correct to do so that's when.

Personbally I feel if they want it diffferent then the laws need to be changed, unitl that time I hope cops enforce it. That is what they are paid to do.

I would be the first to admit that law are difficult to comply with. However, tha being said once you have that visa you can do anything and US Citizen can do accept vote. You want to be a citizen and vote spend your five years and become citizen. ( try that in Thailand) So in my mind there is true value to doing it correctly. In the interm our public school system is obligated to provide an education to illegal alies in their native language. The can participate in the Social Security programs the have access to to the welfare system. Someone has to pay for all that.

So here we sit complying to the Thailand law, why should they be any different, then us.

Ya it's rough in their countries well the proper approach work to make it better there not run and sap the resources of another country.

This is completly out of control the Border Patrol has been the most thankless job in America for many many years.

Don't think this is a serious threat these are not migrant fruit workers looking for work alone. Those drug wars going on in the border areas can spill over into states like Arizona in a minute. Our police departments and border patrols are not equipped to handle that problem, they will be out manned and out gunned from the begining.

Our ignorant Polticians need to wake up before that happens in the communites there.

I will say this they come legaly I would welcome them with open arms and hope they can better themselves and the communities they live in. That has always what America has supposed to stand for. failed a lot, but they tried. But, if you can't do it legally stay in your own country and improve it.

As to Law Enforcement I am so grateful my career is finished, I never faced the problems these officers face today. Mine we pretty simple enforce codified law. Not to be politically correct.

Now I have said what I have to say that how I feel and it won't change. Anyone want to do a Git translation your more then welcome I would be very surprised if wasn't needed. The interesting thing is my Brittish cousins face the same mess today.

Couldn't find a rant section so I put it here, it is truly a rant.

Moving, tearful video by the Arizona first line of defense men [policemen] in the trenches re Illegal Immigration and the crime Illegal Aliens bring to the area. "Shut Up!" they say to their AZ Governor who accuses them of racism because they fight the Mexican criminals. "Shut Up! YOU try to come out here and do our job against these illegal aliens!"

Brave men and women trying to enforce the law despite the PC posturing of elected office holders.

The immigration issue in the US crosses all socio-economic and political boundaries. Almost 3/4s of all voters are against illegal immigration, and they were successful in convincing Congress not to allow amnesty a very short time ago. I guess the Arizona politicians have short memories.

git I want to ad some thing to your post which many do not know it the chamber of commerce that
tells the Police Chief to stand down on illegal immmigration for chaep labor and you know better than
any one the rank above Captain is all azz kissing to get to the top. the military is no different.
just remember this if there are no jobs and no social programs for illegals they will go home
and illegal dumping a baby on the U.S. side of the border just also be illegal until the child is
21 years old and adult enough to choose which country he or she want to belong to. Sadly it mostly small business that exploit illegal labor and upper class hiring illegals for house hold work & maid duties
it a losing battle when you have people contributing large sums of money to political parties to
get there agendas past or put up for a vote as they say Rep. want them for cheap labor & Dem. want them for the votes once some one stands up and tells the elected leaders that they inforce the laws
of the land or get OUT and stay out of the way we will continue to have this problem. on another note
which is also threathing the world population is more people are being born than people dieing over
crowding and not enough food and education is not available to most

You all are absolutely correct,,,,, and the only elected official out there worth a damm is Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County. He upholds the law,,,,,,,, and the feds are trying to bring him up on charges.

Let's hope Sheriff Joe stays put in Maricopa County. I can't imagine there is any civilised country in the world that would want him living there if he decided to leave the US.

JackS,,,,,,,, you're probably correct,,,, But I doubt he would want to go anywhere. The majority of the "civilized" nations have become whining apologists, unable to even stand up for the societies their forefathers handed down to them, so drunkened by political correctness they can't distinquish between right and wrong anymore, that's why they prefer to sit at the UN or EU in their overpriced jobs and write "white papers" condeming barbaric actions like Sadam Husseins gassing of his own people or the genocide in the Balkins. "Why should we act,, someone else with b***s will do it for us?"

The "civilized" countries have proven they are just talk and haven't got any spine left.

LL have you actually looked at the litany of accusations and proven problems sheeted home to this lunatic.

In a jurisdiction where he was appointed by proper process, rather than elected by populist vote, he would have been long gone.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio

ps I realise this is an American issue, but thought I would chip in anyway :D

God Bless ya JackS,,, :D Yes it is an American issue and some of us "Amurcans" want to elect those officials that enforce the laws instead of relying on the "old boy" network or political patronage. If they fail to perform,, they're out in the next election. Joe Arpaio has stayed strictly within the law and the leftwing, handwringing, pantywaists can't stand it because they have been unable to touch him in a court of law. He has been upheld every time. The feds refuse to enforce the laws on the books regarding illegal immigrants and want to hamstring him for enforcing the law. cheers,,LL

Now, now,,, JackS,,,,,, I did read the link and yes there are some things that could be construed as problems but I still defer to the local citizens selection of a sheriff. The record of any official is open to interpretation and yes I don't necessarily believe all that is printed by the media, since independent research has proven the media in the US is definitely biased to the left. And yes I, along with the majority of Americans, watch Fox News,,,,,, in addition to the others.

Since this topic is supposed to be about illegal immigration, I will go back to that,,,, Sheriff Joe Arpaio is enforcing the laws that the Feds won't and since he's making them look bad, they don't like it. The feds should be prosecuted by the states in the Supreme Court because security of the nation's borders is a federal resposibility and they have failed to do it.

a moment of sadness as i read this. # 1, since bush got elected twice, apparently the majority do watch fox news, and 'fox news' is a new oxymoron expression. neither sly, nor news.

"Let's hope Sheriff Joe stays put in Maricopa County. I can't imagine there is any civilised country in the world that would want him living there if he decided to leave the US."

Jack let me ask you a question do you want to go to jail in Maricopa County? Live in tents in a 120 degree F weather run around wearing pink jump suits. This Sheriff has been the subject of controversy for years. But yet keeps getting elected. Why because people don't want to go to jail in Maricopa County.

You see the idea of rahabilation has failed miserably. so what do you do make it not as much enjoyable a yuo can. o the bad guys go elsewhere.

So I will take Joe and his deputies anyday, you see I really don't want people around me who don't mind going to jail.

For a Mayor of a Major City to make statements that seem appaerent in this message is just unbelievable. I have never seen a law enforcement unit step up like that before.

You heard the deputy choke up when he talked about these people who have been raped of all their money to get in. I'm willing to bet you he had much more empathy for those People then the Schmuck Mayor in Phoenix trying to keep his job. You know where that empathy starts Joe. I hope that kid leaves the job 25 years from now and still has that empathy and if not he can regain it agian in his life.

Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime, those people caught and turned back lose huge sum of money. The traffickers don't return it to them cause things didn't work out. There was time you could handle illegal alleins for the most part with kid gloves they were no bad people they just wanted to work.

Today is much different today you stand a very good chance of that guy running drugs. Used to be a big game you chase them catch them send them home, they tried again in a few days and evenually they got through. Not like that today the borders have been tightened, thousands of dollars to be made bringing people across. Every year illegal immigrants die in the Desert of Arizona, cause the Coyote who brought them across dumped in the desert with nothing. Not hardly a game anymore.

Me I would feel safier in Joes County then in Phoenix. That is why Joe keeps getting relected. He actually tries to do the job not make the country club set happy. Yuor right if it were up to the country club set Joe wouldn't be around. But they sure would like to have Joe around when some guy is beating on their front door high on Meth.

Does the country we call home now treat like a game?

This is not a good place to be a illegal alien is it?

Not a good idea to get in trouble in Maricaopa County is it?

Well Jack here is a shock for you that is how it's supposed to be.

No jail is loving kind place Joe's is tougher then most I admit.

But running down the guys who are doing the job, I don't buy off on that. Change the laws.

Your not from America, it would be easy to think tha County Jails handle the guy who get drunk all the time or get fights. Nothing could further from the truth. As Watch commander in the Indio jail I did not have one misdemaenor prisoner in the jail. They were all felons even the trustees. This world has changed, bet you Joe has nothing but felons in his jail to. The days of rahabilitation sounded great. But what we really did there was our best to keep them form killing eachother. Not a game anylonger. I'm so happy I served when I did. I sure wouldn't want the job today.

Yuo know you process someone through the legal process of immigration you might ever now and then find someone that you really don't want in yuor country and deny them entry. But, when they come across this way you get what you get. Yuo find them after they claim more victims.

Ya Joe and his deputies can come to Udon Ok with me. Probably be a lot more ticket issued and people going to jail. But maybe we eventually could quit complaining about thai drivers.

Never been to London but when I hear the guys in here talk about the crime I think I would rather be in Maricopa County. So jack yuo can keep your so called civilized societies I would rather have peaceful safe life.

Did we go off topic yes and no things just are not that simple in life anymore. What a crazy world when the guy being arrested is a victim too. It's a law don't want it enforced then dump it. The states tried it seems more people wanted it then the ones standing out the street yelling they didn't. So be it.
