A320 Crash Today...In French Alps......

Its being reported here in the UK that one of the pilots was locked out and the Aircraft, and it made a controlled decent into the ground. In my opinion this can only point to Pilot Suicide.

The latest bbc news mentions about one of the pilots being locked out, even mentions one had 6000 flying hours and the other passed his flying in 2013 and has much less experience.no mention which one :-k
Even if the pin access number to inform the pilot flying was ignored the news advises there is an override allowable for access, known to pilots,so instead of banging hard on the door it is supposedly a last resort action if having enough time.

Maybe new guidelines should advise pilots to go for a piss or dump before these type of flights with limited flying time =; or an air stewardess takes the place in the cockpit if it has to be,german law allows short emergency trips out of the cockpits by pilots 8)

How about, Pilot wants a pee opens the cockpit door, A terrorist pushes past him slams the door.
Overpowers the Other pilot. and takes over the controls.
Possible! Who knows?

The Latest " Speculation " from ITN News.....

125 UPDATES 26 March 2015 at 11:51am
German co-pilot 'appears to have crashed plane deliberately'

The co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 4U 9525 appears to have crashed the Airbus A320 deliberately, the Marseille prosecutor said. The co-pilot - a German - has been named as Andreas Lubitz.

Death 'was instantaneous' in Germanwings crash
Screams could only be heard "in the last moment and death was instantaneous" before the Germanwings flight crashed into the Alps at more than 430mph, the Marseille prosecutor said.
The Airbus is a big plane so the passengers are next to the cockpit. We only hear screams at the very end, it's in the last moment and death was instantaneous, it hit the mountain at 700kpm per hour.

FIND THIS VERY STRANGE ........ not a suicide ...but this guy flew the plane into the side of a mountain deliberately at over 400 mph ... i would say that is suicide as well as murdering 149 totally innocent people ...

Been a terrible year for air travel incidents but this one is really unbelievable if the most recent findings are found to be true .

RIP to the 149 ..as for Mr Lubitz i cant actually think of anything strong enough to say .

2014 was the safest year in the history of aviation despite the 2 high profile Malaysian Airlines disaster.

What's the solution? Perhaps some system where auto-pilot takes over and the pilots can't have the controls.

It will be interesting to read more about the perp. There are some weird people out there. I wonder what kind of psych profile someone who might do this has.

It's a real difficult problem isn't it.
You can test before the flight( as they do ) if a pilot has excess alcohol or drugs in his blood but there is no test to measure a persons state of mind. Today Easyjet have said starting tomorrow there will always be two people in the cockpit of their planes. If the Pilot or co-Pilot need a leak the Purser will be required to be present in the cockpit (not pressing buttons hopefully) until the person returns.

Now I understand better re the entry pad, anybody in the cockpit can continually deny an override request of entry if believing the code has been compromised. If single pilot is incapacitated then can gain access.Think all airlines will change now or just put an empty large plastic bottle in the cockpit for peeing,no need to leave. 8)

With many airlines if one of the pilot nips out then the Purser aka Chief Flight Attendant is supposed to join the remaining pilot in the cockpit.
But even this is not a true solution as many of the Chief Flight Attendants are female. How would a 50kg girl have been able to overcome this 28 year old "complete nut job" guy ?

Still dont think suicide.
Somebody could barge in as the pilot exits the cockpit.
Slam the door, flick the switch to disable.
But will we ever know? Guess the passengers history be investigated.
See if there's a nutter extremist.
But nobody has owned up to causing a terrorist plot!

If something like that had happened then it would have been picked up on the voice recorder.
They are saying this morning the co pilots breathing, heard on the recorder, appeared to be calm and normal
Maybe he had become unconscious, however the decent was described as controlled and deliberate.

Meanwhile background noises could be heard of someone trying to break the door down

Calm and normal? What kind of person is that? In my layman's opinion that isn't a normal depressed person. There's something extra here.

For fxcks sake, most of us have probably considered topping ourselves at some stage. That seems to be part of being human. It would be really weird wanting let alone deciding to take 150 odd others with us. Particularly children. It's really obscene. The perp belongs in infamy.

It was also probably a crime of opportunity. If it wasn't this flight, it might have been the next when the next pilot needed to have a piss. I suspect the mass and child murderer had been planning this for some time.

in this day and age they should put video cams in the cockpit that link to the black box, instead of pissing around with trying reach answers with voice recording, and flight data...hell they could even have live feed bounced off Sats..
