Their visit easily saves me 7,000+ in roundtrip airfare, taxis, probably overnight hotel, and putting up with BKK for a day.
Not only good service, but good service with a smile! I was there about 10:30 and they were up to line 45.

I received a message from the American Embassy in Bangkok confirming they would be here tomorrow, March 10, from 8 to 12 at the Centara Hotel.

Need to get pages entered into my passport, a few questions (if anyone has the answers):

Extra Pages form, will they have them or should I print one out before hand?
Has anyone had them enter pages and mail (Thai Post Office) back to Udon?? I already have a envelope w/ postage for tomorrow, just worried about the Thai mail system and how long will it take.
This will be my second set of pages entered, is there a limit?? Passport is in good shape.

Any help/info will be appreciated.

From the consulate newsletter:
Extra visa pages ($82 or Baht 2,706). Note: we can accept
applications, but the passports will have to be brought back to the
Embassy for final processing the next day. The passports will then have
to be picked up in person (or by a friend upon presentation of a letter
of authorization signed by the applicant) at the Embassy.

Got a affidavit from US embassy worked great.

What type of documentation do you have to provide the Embassy?
What is the fee?
Wouldn't the affidavit you got in December, still be valid?

ACS Outreach

Postby parrot » May 23, 2011, 4:44 pm

Good news for those needing a visit with the ACS folks:

Dear Isaan Region American Citizens,
The Consular Section of the American Embassy in Bangkok
is pleased to inform you of the time and place for the previously
scheduled consular outreach visit to Khon Kaen on June 9, 2011.
Consular staff will be available to provide services on:
Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 8:00 to 12:00
at the Hotel Pullman Khon Kaen (Raja Orchid), at 9-9
Prachasumran Road, Nai Muang, Muang Khon Kaen, 40000, Thailand.

/index.shtml
An announcement for the next consular outreach visit to
Phuket will be made shortly. The next outreach planned for the Isaan
Region will be on September 8, 2011 in Udorn.
The following consular services will be available during
our outreach visits:
* Passport renewal applications ($110.00 or Baht 3,300 for adult
passports, and $105 or Baht 3,150 for a child's passport).

* Notarial Services and Certified Copies ($50.00 or Baht 1,500).
This includes income affidavits for retirees in Thailand.

* Extra visa pages ($82 or Baht 2,460). Note: we can accept
applications, but the passports will have to be brought back to the
Embassy for final processing the next working day. As of this writing,
Thailand Post has approved our request to use prepaid envelopes to
return passports. We will bring prepaid envelopes on outreaches that
you can buy from us (at cost) if you wish us have us mail your passport
back to you. Alternatively, you can pick up your passport at the
Embassy. You can also have a friend pick up your passport by giving
them written authorization to present to us.
* Social security, VA, or other federal benefits question will be
limited, but we will try to provide forms and answers.
(Please bring exact change!)
Consular Reports of Birth cannot be processed during
consular outreach trips.
If you have any questions, please email acsbkk@state.gov
or call the American Citizen Services Unit at 02-205-4049.
We look forward to seeing you.
Sincerely,
American Citizen Services
U.S. Embassy
Bangkok, Thailand

ACS Outreach

The ACS outreach is a GREAT service. It has saved me a lot of hassle over the years. Do any other Countries offer a similar service for their citizens in Thailand?
