Actual Broadband Speed v Advertised in UK

I noticed a thread on TOT broadband on here so thought this study by the UK's regulatory body might be of interest.
Does not make very good reading for the user, whatever OFTEL might say about reasons if a company cannot guarantee say 10MB then they should not advertise supplying it. I think anyone would understand a small shortfall but these are anything but small!!

I read the article seems like the ISP's in the UK rip you off just like here. Last year I signed up with Talk Talk. Estimated speed of between 4 to 6 MB. Actual speed about 1.5MB. I cancelled. :shock:
