Any advice on acupuncturists in/around Udon?
I'm having back problems and apart from the wonderful advice: you have to lose weight
Thanks for any advice!

It was a new fangled "Electronic Acupuncture Machine" not the traditional needles but I was assured it was the same principle. (And it was administered by a pretty little therapist rather than a withered old Chinese lady, not that that should make any difference). Seriously, she knew what she was doing, and they had acupuncture charts on the wall, indicating that this is a viable treatment there.
The cost was 480 baht for 20 minutes on the machine and about 20 more minutes of manipulation/exercise. So you might check them out if nothing else develops locally.

With the (growing) number of expats, combined with part of the Thai population that uses it already, there should be a market for alternative medicine, not the whole range but selective parts of it like acupuncture, acupressure, TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), homeopathy (favorite of mine), Ayurveda, Reiki etc.
I personally know the merits of homeopathy and acupuncture and am highly interested in TCM as part of it is food supplements to cure or prevent certain discomforts.
I hope some day we will be able to get alternative medicine in Udon![]()
