I enjoyed reading the article you linked to. Thank you. Since my wife and I are leaning serioursly towards retirement in Udorn I have been researching this topic. Agree with (even though from an outsiders perspective at this juncture) much of what was said in the article.

Intersting but I think was one thing was missing to be succesful a driving desire for change.

In my case I had to let go of all that I had worked towards my entire life to do this, the end result is that after letting go wihtin a few a years I had all that I had strived for and never been able to obtain before.

I agree Ray. The desire for change will cause you to try harder to make the move successful. In our case, the desire for change is strong. The delay is a result of my wish to qualify for retirement from my present employer. I want to ensure we will have the quality of life in Thailand we both desire and without as many financial worries as possible.
