Annual udon fair and parade .

Postby trubrit » November 27, 2011, 4:51 pm

Well the fair proper kicks off with the street parade on Thursday 1st December. Whilst the fun fair and side shows should all be open the same day . The accompanying street stalls selling everything from plants, furniture and pottery are already open for business. Down there today and the plant nursery displays are out of this world. get there soon for the best choice though .

Well the parade is on Thursday 1st and my son's school is participating with a float. It was my intention to take a few photographs, mainly to show those that can't be here, a bit of flavour of the occassion. However it would appear there is no interest, judging from the replies to my first post, just that of those who manage to turn every topic into an excuse to show their sense of schoolboy humour , so I will not bother . Sorry for troubling you gentlemen . :-"

'ang on a minute TB. That was a genuine question about the fushias. I got a couple several years ago in Phu Rua, but they only lasted until my first golf trip. I suspect that they didn't like going several days with no water !!, and as I wasn't around nobody else could be bothered (probably due to them being pretty rather than edible).

I for one would very much like to see any pics that you take of the parade, as I am sure would most (if not all) of those overseas that cannot make it.

Not true truebrit and you know it! I rarely post on most topics and when I do there is 99% never any kind of schoolboy humor. You have made a improper statement and an incorrect assumption about my interest in the subject.

If you are going to make accusations please try to be more accurate.

Not an accusation merely an observation. Read them all again , not just yours and judge for yourself .

I would have thought that just over 220 viewers indicates a fair amount of interest, whatever the posted comments...

I would certainly be interested to see some pictures (& I am in Udon :D ) but didn't feel that I could add anything to the thread by way of comment, so didn't...that does not indicate disinterest just nothing to add....

I can accept that Bob. At this stage I am just literally giving a heads up and don't expect any comment, but neither do I expect to be asked if there are any WFB there . As most know . I am not a shrinking violet and make my feelings known . When I post what I think is an informative posting, I expect it to be treated as such, not turned into another charade .
Amen .

Okay trubrit. I read them all again. Now I understand. jackspratt, old-timer, Shado and stattointhailand manage to turn every topic into an excuse to show their sense of schoolboy humour. I think that is a bit of a stretch myself but I reckon that's the way you see it.
