Another Time...another place

Don't feel badly, I don't smoke or drink either. But I have been living in Thailand off and on for over 20 years and haven't had the experience you say you've had. My Thai is fairly fluent and I find that I do make a reasonably good impression but don't have anyone leaping into my bed. Maybe it is because most of my time has been spent in the Bangkok area and the fact that if I got caught by the Mrs. (Thai but very Westernized) I would be castrated, at least financially in a divorce.

As for the experiences with the ladies, it seemed surreal to say the least. All of this stuff just happened. I did not go out of my way to meet anyone. The strange part was that my very good friend was urging me on, and helping me meet people too. It was probably a test on her part, one of these 'up to you' situations to see what I would do.

I was not interested in any of these ladies as my heart, so to speak, belongs to another. But there were some experiences, which satisfied my curiosity, and made me think that all is not lost if my current friendship is not as long lasting as I hope it will be.

Well, Toronto has brought me back to reality and served as a useful reminder that I am an old man who had an incredible streak of good luck in meeting various women in Thailand. As mentioned earlier, however, my heart beats for only one lady in Udon...in Thailand. Sigh.
