We are all having problems
Called 1103
Had the TT@T technician round

Want to know ?
So if Lee grovels................and says all is forgiven.
The twelve apostles promise not to be so unkind to newbies, and only say something when they really have something to say, and the moderators hand in the yellow streaked shirts.

20 men (or more) and true, state online they will, hand on heart, ring 1103 to complain, I will tell you.

Just as a taster, the word is out that TTT want to get more cash in, so are advising customers to upgrade from Indy at 590+ to Premier at 1090 +. Don't fall for that one, YET.

Seems coincident with a visit from a Maxnet chap who was updating the service agreement as it seems there was some data missing from the original application done last year. He also said that I was now getting 4Mb service instead of 3Mb for the same price 'as standard' although I have never bothered checking as it always seems fast enough for my purposes. Maybe it's something to do with this 'upgrade'?

I noticed that too.

We had a bloke come round the other day to make the missus sign for the 5Mb package even though we were upgraded about 3 months ago. The same afternoon at 4pm, the service died.

Yesterday afternoon at 3pm it died again (except for my torrent downloads). I finally got some sort of semi-stable service back at around midnight.

I;ve given up trying to call them as they do nothing anyway. I guess I'll just have to write the afternoons off...

I was using OpenDNS to no avail, but I agree that it is a DNS lookup problem.

Hi.
For the last two months Maxnet has been absolutely crap. I have been with MN for over three years now but over the last two months it has been crap. unable to download sites without trying 3 or 4 times and then only if lucky. On contacting MN was told it was the weather, bullsh*t i said. But still the same have to refresh etc. two or three times if i am lucky.
Cheers Doug.

Yep, very bad indeed today. Anything outside Thailand and you may as well forget it. I have been trying to listen to some music on You Tube and after 10 minutes downloading I have 15 seconds of playtime #-o

TT&T MAXNET are having server problems ( might be Michael Jackson overload )
Both Indy and Premier are affected so upgrading is a waste of time.

However you can speed up your connection.
1. Local Area Connection tab
Go to Support
Click repair
Close
2) Disk Cleanup ( weekly)
All Programmes
Accessories
System tools
Disk cleanup
"C" drive
OK
Clean up disk space?
OK
Yes
3) Disk Defragmenter
All programmes
Accessories
System tools
Disk Defragmenter
open
Click "Defragment"
Close box or retire for one hour
4)www.adslthailand.com
Speed test
Begin test
Download test should be 2000+
Upload test Should be 500+
IF NOT COMPLAIN en masse by dialling 1103
It means you are not getting the Kbps you are paying for.( see your contract )

That's nonsense as the problems started long before he died. And the rest is more like Vodoo, has nothing to do with the speed of the internet connection.

Internet speed improved dramatically about an hour after my post here the other day. It has been pretty consistent ever since.
