Dermot.
Jack might not be 'everyone's cup of tea' but he is a long term poster on this Forum & 100% consistant in what he says. He is not a 'keyboard commando' but equally does not take fools lightly either - as is the case with a number of other long term posters. I think Jack is objecting to the generalisation "ALL" bit of your question....same as ALL Irish are drunks, ALL English are Bastards etc. etc. approach. It is hugely unlikely any racial profiling is correct & that (I think) is what Jack objects to.

Bob, Point well taken my friend and if JS had sent a message like that I would have been happy to be cordial with him, instead, if you look at his second post he choose to attack what for me is an decent honest and open question.

Now Im wondering Bob, do you have anything actually useful you would like to add on the topic?

You are correct Dermot - I have attacked the question, or more particularly (as Bob pointed out), the offensive stereotypical thread heading.

I asked a question, an honest one that i wanted actual responses from people personal experiences. Bob mentioned you are may not be everyones cup of tea, Well you are certainly not mine and by trying to hijack my thread you have just showed what a complete wally you actually are.

If you had a problem about my question why didnt you post something nice that would have made me think about it than just coming out with the crap you did.

I see retiremnet has done nothing for you except make you a bitter old codger.

(Jack) I chose to respond to the spirit or intention of the posters question, (not quibble about inferred generalisations in the title). That IMO view would have been the way to go.

I also forgot to mention another aspect of Thai girls immature behaviour, - jealousy.

I've experienced some extremely childish behaviour resulting from jealousy and insecurity, eg. going through my telephone ringing up unknown previous callers and checking who they were. A previous (ex) GF even rang an opticians shop, to find out who I had received a call from.

Not sure I agree with you about Pete though. Hes just annoyed that JS has taken it completely off topic. I can understand his frustration!

Well Dermot that question is a lot harder...

My GF is 37 (still far younger than me... :shock:

) and, in the past, she has called 20ish Thai ladies that we both know as 'babies'. Her implication is that they are not mature and are likely to have childish reactions. Now, an outside observer might say 'Well she would say that' (ala Mandy Rice Davies

) as she would posibily like to discourage me from entertaining them as better prospect than her. & maybe there is some of that (although deep down she should know I am not like that) but, from personal observations, she is possibily not far short of the mark.
However!! It must be understood that unless the lady concerned is well experienced in "Falang" then she is batting on a new pitch, with very few references to help her though a problem. Plus, she is confronted with a male that holds all (in most cases) of the financial reigns of the relationship.
I have had disagreements (

) with my TG but they are mainly based on misunderstandings between us. When all of the crap is cleared she SHOULD have told me something (or maybe actually thought she had, but I did not understand the 'comment' that she made had so much significance - because it was just 'thrown in' to a conversation 2 months ago) in the past which made the problem not that much of a problem.
You ALWAYS have to remember that Thai ladies do not like confrontation & that they will go to huge lengths to hide a bad situation from you - until it gets to (a Falang) a quite stupid situation that could have been sorted out easily!!
But, such is the beauty of living in Thailand!!
