Aribaba-Indian, Moroccan, Thai, & Western Food

Postby jingjai » October 30, 2011, 2:08 pm

I stopped in today to peruse the menu and have a look-see at the place.
Nice decor, A/C, plenty of street parking.
Comprehensive menu consisting of Indian, Moroccan, Thai, and Western food. Prices looked reasonable.
I did not try the food as I had just picked up a load of stuff from Udon Bread, however I will be going there for lunch later in the week.

Aribaba Restaurant
Adunyadet Rd. (across the road from Udon Bread)
Open 10am
Miss Aussa (owner): 081-912-3466

If anyone has eaten there, I'd appreciate a review. :D

Moroccan cuisine is extremely diverse, thanks to Morocco's interaction with other cultures and nations over the centuries. Moroccan cuisine has been subject to Berber, Moorish, Mediterranean, and Arab influences...
It is also known for being far more heavily spiced than Middle Eastern cuisine...
The main Moroccan dish most people are familiar with is couscous, the old national delicacy...

More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moroccan_food

I only saw about 5 or 6 Morocaan dishes on the menu, but Aussa said she will be adding more as time goes on.
I think it is a good thing Udon's culinary dining out options are becoming more diverse.

Thanks JJ, I've always found Couscous boring though. The Spicier stuff would interest me though =P~

Ah right, thanks jingjai.
I guess this is the rather middle eastern looking building that I posted a picture of, way back, when it was in construction. Rather nice to know that Udon will be getting a different type of fare to try.
I think Moroccan food has a tendency to put spicy with sweet & meat - for example apricot & other fruits. I also think that there is tendency to often use Lamb as the meat ingredient, which is certainly a meat not featured heavily in Udon at the moment.
Will look forward to some reviews of it... :D
