Just read on another forum that ASN is leaving True Visions as of Sept 30... so no more live NFL on ASN True Visions. Also Bye Bye Nascar, NHL and other American sports.

Here's the official announcement from the ASN website forum:

Hi all,

Thank you for your continuing support for ASN. We greatly value your comments and feedback which are very important to us.

We are pleased to inform you that ASN will be launched with our new partner GMM on the 1Sky platform (Under the Grammy GMM brand) in October 2011.

We have enjoyed a good relationship with True Visions but were unfortunately unable to agree commercial terms for a renewal. The channel will, therefore, cease broadcasting on True Visions on 30th September 2011.

Please contact 1Sky Grammy directly for subscription information:
- 1-Sky's Call Center number is +662-841-8888 or please send your requirement to gmmsport.sp@gmail.com and they will assist you duly.

We hope the above information is helpful and please spread the word to all your friends and fans who are currently watching ASN so they can keep watching.

We sincerely thank you for your support.Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at enquiries@yes.tv also.

Thanks,
ASN
Someone on the forum called the number given and they said it won't be available until November, had no idea of price or any details. This is strange, as TRUE has been heavily advertising ASN lately. Also, I have the Gold package, and last week I discovered that they were carrying the ASN games on channel 106 or 107.

Wouldn't expect anything less from them pricks. Words out they have placed a contract with the "Syncronised Swimming Channel" so there's something to look forward too! Some NFL is replayed on TS3 Mondays and Tuesdays.

Not quite as bad as the synchronized swimming channel, but TRUE has replaced ASN with "TRACE Sports". Here is how their website describes themselves:

TRACE Sports is a new HD TV Channel proposing factual entertainment and lifestyle content exclusively dedicated to sports celebrities.
It will provide you behind-the-scene access to sports celebrities, gateway to the intimate life of the athletes, essence and in-depth understanding of the sports icons, inspiration to go above and beyond, emotional connection with the champions, energy and motivation to be better, bigger, higher and bolder in life...

YAWN!

Does anyone have any information on1Sky Grammy Satellite? Is there a representative in Udon and what is their channel lineup? Almost anything would be better than True Vision.

Looks like the NFL on TS3 went with ASN, "effin pricks". Pity the poor customers who were suckered into upgrading to Platinum from Gold when they placed ASN into Gold through Dec 2010 (or there abouts) as a promotion.

TRACE Sports is another effin joke. Having been a UBC True visions customer for over 9 years I'm getting very close to dumping them. Currently looking at a replacement but not many viable options available and internet streaming is out of the question using GPRS.

Tomorrow I'm going along to the True office and ask for my free upgrade to HD, as per the message they have been putting on the screen. I'm expecting a load of hassle and to find out there's strings attached to the offer.

Am I correct in believing HD viewing is only available via cable, NOT satellite?

My wife had to pop down to Big C, so I asked her to talk to the people at the True Booth there. When my wife said I had read about the free offer on the screen the girl said "really". She had no idea. Told my wife to come back in November. ](*,)
