Baan Muang

Postby patriot » February 6, 2012, 8:14 pm

Could someone local help here please.
I have been given an address of:

## Moo ##
Baan Muang
Nong Han
Udon Thani.

I know there is a Baan Muang in Amphoe Ban Dung, but is there, confusingly, a Tambon of Baan Muang within Nong Han?
Thanks

Thanks for that Ray.Charles, as you indicate, if its on Route 2 East, then it's not the Ban Dung one. Thanks for your reply.

My apologies, Chris. I thought that the post was by Parrot, whose name is John.

Chris, my Thai is not very good, but I was of the impression that Muang was used for the centre of all towns in Thailand. Perhaps one of our Thai speakers could either confirm or correct me.

บ้านม่วง Ban Muang is a district in Sakon Nakhon . I don't see anything in Nonghan under that name.....but it would depend on the actual spelling (in Thai).
Most expats would pronounce บ้านม่วง and บ้านเมือง the same ---- but they're different places.
If you can provide the Thai spelling for the name of the town, I'm sure I can find out where it is.

Of yeah, of course; Ban Muang amphoe is in Sakhon Nakon. The one I'm on about is definately around Nong Han.
Thanks

Yes, there's a Baan Muang in Nong Han. It's the exit on the Udon-Sakhon Nakon road, about 2 km before you get to the Nong Han town exit.
