The first thing I noticed was the amount of rain you have been having although not as bad as other South East asian countries.
I bought back a suitcase of Tetley extra strong tea bag and lots of digestives, 25% of the price I would pay here (No I'm not knocking a certain shop in Udon) I didn't have any overheads.
The Autumn weather in the UK has been exceptionally mild and I must admit I enjoyed my stay and if it wasn't but for my TW I would have stayed longer.
Comparing the prices at Tesco(UK) with Tescos in Udon I would say, taking into account the poor exchange rate that the majority of goods were cheaper in the UK excepting meat and some vegatables
Utlity bills remain high as the Power suppliers rip us off. My electric in the UK was however cheaper than I pay here. I won't mention the gas
The internet was a pleasure to use and prices compared favourably with Udon.
Of course when I returned my TOT internet was not working and had not been for several weeks (according to the good lady)
They have sort of fixed it but I cannot gain access to international sites. 4 other people in my village are suffering the same problems and none of us can access our on-line banking. TOT maintain everything is working OK but when a UK site won't open they just smile
The internet appears to be useless outside the ring road although someone is sure to boast theirs is perfect.
In conclusion if I was rich man I would choose to live in the UK and enjoy holidays to Thailand. Unfortunately I'm not rich and are fairly committed to staying here so I'll make the most of it and enjoy the good things in the LOS.
Bye for now
