I read them both in the morning when I'm not working. I like to think it keeps me up to date on what's going on in Thailand. They seem to have pretty much the same news but IMO the Nation seems a little more comprehensive. When I'm finished I get onto UM and read the real stories :D

I prefer the newspapers, which are much more in depth than the limited offering given on-line free on the site. There is the pay e-edition of the Bangkok Post, but I am not willing to pay for what is available from other sources for free. I also do not subscribe to any newspapers. The on-line version of The Nation appears to update much more frequently than the Bangkok Post.

The local radio stations are the only ones that appear to cover the local news, although at the Night Market, I did see some local news television programme on (must be cable).

The Thai language papers are far superior in covering news in Thailand, both the on line and printed versions. That is where to go to find out what is happening in Thailand- ไทยรัฐ นติชน เดลินิวส์ ฐาน
