This may jog some memories for any ex-service men or anyone else that was around back then. i don't think that much has changed really.

yes indeed the bars of Korat, been there done that,the frontier was one of my hang outs along with the any place bar, lot of good times in the old days :lol:

Interesting video and what struck me was the style of dress from all those Thai girls - very much western style.
Thinking about it - what if todays 'bar girls' had a video made - their 'dress' code would surely be nothing more than a bikini type outfit barely larger than a piece of dental floss - yeah, thank goodness times have changed LOL
Or maybe I just go to different bars

Thanks for the link, beer monkey. It did bring back memories. Most of my time was spent in Udon in those days but it was the same all over Thailand. The girls were as beautiful back then as now. Kind of forgot how the beehive hair styles and dress of that period were copied so much from the West.

BTW, the music that accompanied the pictures was by none other than George Jones, a country music icon.

Wow, that was fantastic. Was not at Korat but had similar here. The only difference was then most of the girls were not out to rip you off. I guess as they were ripped enough they learned to rip back. Had to be helped home more than once and never had anything ripped off. Didn't even have stupid amounts on sin sod. Gee how things have changed. For better or worse we are where we are. :lol:

Nice to hear George on a good day. The bottle did not get him down on this day.
