Bells from Bombs

Postby parrot » November 7, 2011, 5:29 pm

I've heard of bombs from hell, but until I came to Thailand, I never heard of bells from bombs. Then, several years ago while in the Chinese area of Yarowat (Bangkok), my visiting brother spotted some heavy bells that looked familiar. We asked the owner, and sure enough, as my brother thought, the bells were made from bombs. If I took a picture of that shop, I can't find it.
But today, while in the Buddhist store area on Makkaeng/Prajak Rds, I saw the same type of bells. Maybe it'll be a deja vu moment for some of the folks out there who serviced/flew some of the missions out of Udon 40 some odd years ago. Operation Bell Tone comes to mind.
