Forced myself to watch one of their videos some time ago.

Singing ........................... you have to be kidding
Dancing ........................... ok, it wasn't bad, but not my cup of tea.
Comedy ........................... Now come on, Co Co the clown was doing those routines for kids in the circus 50 years ago.

My mum in law was in tears with laughter..... Amazing ........ If you havn't seen them, it's worth it just to observe the locals having a ball of a time.

I sit watching in amazement every time a group of adult Thais break out in uncontrolled, genuine, belly-wrenching laughter after someone in a comedy show slips on a banana peel and falls, crashing to the ground. :-s

Tex I am sure many of us do the same every time we see your avatar.

On the other hand, after attending the compulsory "concerts" when I first got here, now I just say no thank you!

Unless there are to be some genuine coyote dancers. :D

I actually quite enjoy the singing, dancing, colour of it all, lots of dancing girls (ok, some doubtful ones too 8-[ ), but usually off home by the time the 'play/comedy' bit rolls in. I don't enjoy the drunks, the inevitable punchups, or the sore bum through sitting on the ground for a few hours! We had Mai Tai in Phen a while back and it was an excellent show - 40 baht. I know how to give my wife a good night out.
