BKK Grill

Postby Paul » April 6, 2006, 8:12 am

Have stumbled accross a new restaurant called BKK Grill.
I know the name as they have branches in other cities however they opened in UdonThani just a few days ago.

Its a chain of Grills and offers very good value for money.

The menu's are in pictoral form and also Thai/English lanuage - so easy to 'point and choose'

I have been offered a free glass of soft drink/water every visit with free water top ups after that.

The menu starts at a very reasonable 59 baht for steak/fries/ eggy bread and salad. There is an offer to have any four items from the menu for 199 baht and includes ribs, fish, steaks, sausage, burgers, chicken etc.

The staff appeared very attentive and the old woman who I assumed was the owner tried her best to chat away in English - not always succeeding LOL.

The location is really good being a short walk from centrepoint.
At the lights by the flower stalls turn left towards the night market and almost immediately you will see an Esso petrol station - well BKK Grill is simply opposite there. 30 seconds walk from the flower stalls.

Certainly worth a try.
Has been relatively quiet since opening up but hopefully once word gets round - it will improve.

I checked out BKK Grill last night and I was very impressed. I choose the spicy grilled pork steaks with BBQ chicken breast, chips and salad for only 99 baht. This that came with a free refillable drink too! The food was actually very tasty and service was very good. The drinks are cheap too, only 45 baht for a large bottle of Leo Beer.

Thanks for the recommendation Paul.

So is it where the Japanese type restaurant is/was?

Do they have AC? If so, may try them for late lunch.

It's just a stones throw for Kitaro Japanese restaurant, opposite the PTT Garage, and yes they do have a small air-con room at the back. Enjoy!

Its lonely in the air con room ! Actually the owner told me it was going to be used for large groups only (free air ) but i haven't seen many of those in there !
Was in there yesterday again and had a 'malibu chicken burger' - It was enormous!
2 chicken burgers in breadcrumbs, ham and cheese - all in a bun. French Fries, salad and a coke - all for 69 baht - wow !

What I forgot to mention also is that they have a 'loyalty' card which gets stamped at each visit.
10 stamps gets u a free meal - from their 59 baht range which includes steaks and pork chops !

Thanks for recommending this place Paul. I have now eaten there twice and say I will return. I had the burger the first time and was well pleased. Last night I had the chicken snitzle. Again very pleased.

Try it I bet you like it.

I had my first free meal in there last week - for collecting 10 stamps.
Pork steak with garlic, french fries, salad, coke
all free (should have been 59 baht)

How can you go wrong ?

First free meal already? LOL, you eat there every other day or what!

I tried them a few weeks ago. Good place. Didn't see the Loyalty Program card. I'll have to get me one of those.

I wish them well the idea of using the photos of each dish placed around the place Is simple and effective to selling the food

I eat from a 20 baht noodles to a 500 baht t bone the wife can cook them all but normally when in town I like to eat out 1 time per day
In uk I pay 5 pounds for chicken fried rice in Thailand 35 pence the price is not my reason to eat there personally Its more for the quick and convenient service and good food
