Bringing food to Thailand.

Postby Aardvark » June 5, 2007, 12:48 pm

In previous years I have brought food stuff from home to Thailand. Last year we took 2kg of Kangaroo steak for the family to try and had no problem at Customs. My wife now tells me this has all changed in recent months, is this true as my Papa still has'nt tried Lamb and I was going to bring some this time???

I thought Tesco had a frozen food section with shoulders of lamb, lamb cutlets but only from New Zealand.I suppose if it is not Australian,it is only fit for the dog.
Kangaroo steaks ok,ostrich meat not bad,any ostrich farms in Australia?,bring 1kg of kangaroo and 1kg of ostrich and see which she prefers.

Check out the Macro frozen foods as well. They have lamb, ostrich and emu (at times), venison, etc.

Was there yesterday and saw lamb patties for lamb-burgers, I got beef patties instead. Next time I'll try the lamb. I've had an ostrich burger back in the states, very tasty and suppose to be 99% fat free (or something like that).
