Taxi driver arrested over alleged rape of British woman, 28, on Thai party island of Koh Samui

A taxi driver was under arrest today after a British woman claims she was brutally raped on the Thai holiday island of Koh Samui.
The 28-year-old woman claims she asked a taxi driver to take her back to her room - but was instead taken to a coconut plantation.
When she arrived there, she was dragged screaming from the car, beaten and then raped, said police.
After the alleged attack, the woman told police she was robbed of her cash and dumped by the road to walk home.
Police in Thailand today arrested and charged a 21-year-old local taxi driver with rape.
Officers are also questioning an accomplice who allegedly used his pick-up to dump the semi-conscious woman afterwards.

At least they picked him up pretty quick, theres no where to run to on an Island.
