Bus Accident, Udon-Chiangmai

A late afternoon news item has few details of a Chiangmai-Udon bus that overturned, hurting more than 30 passengers, including foreigners. The accident occurred at the 18km marker between WangSaPong and Erawan in Loei Province. The bus was climbing a curved section of highway and encountered a slow moving vehicle. When the bus driver tried to brake, his brakes failed and the bus overturned.
Inspection of the vehicle after the accident showed that a rubber ??strap?? was wrapped around the brake line to apparently fix an earlier maintenance problem.
