Bus Station / Route to Chum Phae

Postby cambocleve » September 23, 2007, 2:24 pm

Can anyone help me find a bus station / route / schedule to get from Udon Airport to Chum Phae.

I am arriving at the airport at 7am and need to get to Chum Phae with as much ease as possible, as will have a few bags.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Udon Thaini, Central Bus station

You might need to take a bus via Nong Bua Lamphu (could also leave from local bus station) and Si Chomphu (could also leave from local bus station) or alternatively via Khon Kaen.

Very much pending on your arrival time, taking a car from airport could the better option.

Hi ttom,

Thanks for the info. Do you know which bus station i need to goto to get a bus to Nong Bua Lamphu or Si Chomphu ? In fact Si Chomphu would be great as it is only a few km from the village I want to end up in.

I will be arriving at the airport at 7am so hope to get started on my bus travels by 8am, if all goes well. Of course I have to get from the airport to the bus station first.

I have looked a a taxi service but the cost was 2,800. If I can go on a bus for a few hundred the difference will make a nice party for the family when I arrive.

At airport ask for bus to Nongbua Lamphu. There should be an hourly service from/to Udon Thani. You can change in Nongbua Lamphu to Si Chomphu.

Should cost you no more than 150 TBT all the way.
