Udon Thani Forum help, support & announcements

Postby laphanphon » June 8, 2008, 8:02 pm

well, as much as don't like closed door meetings, let's face it, as soon as someone mentions a business, or prospect of entering one. 20 post follow, including myself, with nothing but negative input. that's not what is needed

being in business for myself before, you seem to get more negative advice than advice that is useful. so a good idea to leave the business to the business people who have a vested interest.

if i listened to all my financial advisers i'd never been able to retire at 46, though, been a lazy shhittt, and still have fun with working half the time my peers put in. and i'm an uneducated, unmotivated, lazy person. the only thing i wanted to be when i grew up, well, maybe soon, was retired. that was my goal, and everyone gave me the wrong advice. i'm retired and they are still working, probably till 66, my gov't official retirement age. somehow i pulled it off, best of luck to all who try.

the business people don't need to hear our negativity, they need positive input and guidance. that won't happen easily on open forum.

Ha,ha, Roy, hopefully only like minded - unless you are the multi-millionaire 'lost relative' my mother always talked about.... :D :D :D

Just a thought - would some kind of "Read Only" access be an easy way both to satisfy the curious and eliminate irrelevant postings?

Was my thoughts only Jimbo & in no way represented the views of the owner of Udonmap.com :D :D
But I just do not see what the issue is here (apart from Trubrit stirring the pot again). Each to their own, if people with "special interests" want to talk on this forum then, as far as I am concerned "up to them". If there is ever one for "Pensioners in Udon" & I am excluded then I might get mega pissed - otherwise I don't mind.... :D

Bob, I wasn't casting any Nasturtiums, I just thought that you expressed one of the problems that occurs here quite succinctly - I was just thinking about a simple compromise that might satisfy all parties

Personally I don't have any problem with any private sections - if the folk in those sections want input from the board members as a whole on a topic it can always be repeated on an open thread.

see thats the humerous banter bobs on about, well done B M , you get a biscuit. if business people wanna chit chat behind closed doors so to speak, use the p m service, not really hard is it, after all your clever enough to run a business. :? :? :? :?

Thanks...Rich Tea, Hob Nob or Garibaldy.

Can't see that a buisness thread would get 'hi-jacked' by humourous postings and ramblings......there is a time and a place you know.(just check some threads in finance and debates)

If you really want to get a look in trugrit, get a buisness like a beer bar or Hairdressing salon or noodle stall for instance then you might well be invited to join in the 'buisness section' , can't see anything it would contain that would really excite any non-buisness owners/members.

No one is barred from reading. The forum clearly states the following "Private forum for business owners. Please contact udonmap.com if you would like to be a member here."

If you have a business or thinking of starting one please drop me a pm or email and I will be pleased to add you to the list.

This segment of the forum has been setup this way for businesses to discuss private business matters, and topics that they would prefer to discuss out of the public eye. It's kind of like a group meeting of businesses which is more convenient than sending pm’s.

Cheers, Lee

Odd, thread that doesn't appear to contain communiation among Udon Thani businessmen.

I am in the process of initiating a business that will likely associate with other UndonThani businesses.

Perhaps this thread will evolve into something I can use.
