Looking for a DVD Re Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Postby Seahawk » January 22, 2011, 12:25 pm

Can anyone help me with finding a place where I can buy a DVD of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Paul Newman/Robert Redford). I have checked just about everywhere I can think of, but with no luck so far. When I try to enquire if it can be ordered for me I am met with bemused smiles, but thats all. Hope someone out there can help.
Cheers!

As mash says it is readily available on the torrent sites for download.
If you want a high quality copy it is about 1.3MB large - so too big for a CD but OK for a DVD.
A less quality download is also available at just under the 700mb so it would burn onto a CD..

If you get really pushed for a copy I will do one for you (say which you want) & drop it off at Chern Chim & you can pick up from mash sometime...

Bob, that would be great if you could download the 1.3MB version for DVD. I really do appreciate it :-)
By the way Mash.....The DVD of Everton FC's Greatest Moments is much longer than 1 minute 7 seconds. With the credits at the end, it goes on for at least 4 minutes!!

because I am killing time here in NZ caring for my aging parents I have discovered the world of DVD's, and buy at the warehouse for what is around 250baht..saw Butch the other day for sale..I guess 250b is expensive compared to thai dvd's , but if you are stuck, I can buy and post a range of dvd's

Rather typical of when you promise to do something for someone, never runs as smooth as thought!! :D
Done now though...

Jon, you were well closed by the time I managed to pass today so you will find it in your post box when you next look.
Bill, the 1.36Gb version I downloaded first, but it has Spanish sub-titles all the way through the movie (except when they were speaking Spanish that is.. :D ) which I thought might be a bit distracting. So I also downloaded the smaller version, which does not have sub titles you will be pleased to hear. I could not notice any huge difference in quality, although I guess there could be watching it on a HD television.
So I have dropped both disks off at Chern Chim & you can do whatever you like with the version you do not want to keep... :D

I was surprised that there were not a lot of torrents actually available for it. Stuff that has not even reached the cinema yet is readily available, the 'classics' are there still but take a while to download...
