O.K All you Udon gardening experts.............Where is the BEST place to buy a GOOD lawnmower,at the Cheapest rate ?? Seriously though, I could not find any decent lawn mowers, I settled for a Black & Decker electric one, as I have only a small garden this worked out fine.

I got it for 2050 bht, reduced from 4100bht, from Big C.

747man,you can come by and check our lawnmower out.It to is a plastic electric one,We have had it about 4 years and it has down the trick.I think it was 4-4500 baht!

You can borrow it ,see if it is good enough for your needs and go from there!

tool pro for me. think it's a 5hp briggs and stratton engine, frendh assembly, i think, wheels good size, have 5 settings for height. sturdy construction, start everytime, one or two pulls, if i don't forget to push primer button. about 3-4 yrs, not service needed, think one plug change. use weekly for 6 months cutting 1/2 rai. dont' abuse it too much. 14000 range, tho bit more now i would suspect. will double check in about 5 days if wanting brand name and not in hurry to buy. they have decent selection.

tool pro also has small engine service, which i like and used. weed wacker, lawn trimmer to you all folk, that engine mounted steel blade to get hard to reach places, or trim same. i abuse the hell out of, and still runs, bit older than lawn mower. yr warranty, pull pull pull, no start, return, adjust, no charge, did not have receipt with me. next year same, 100 baht charge, next, same, 200 baht charge, starting to pay attention, an air/fuel mix adjustment which eventually readusts itself due to vibration, and little more chock setting knowledge, do myself now. but nice service dept for lazy like myself, or simply not sure and don't want to make it worst.

decent selection of both, and beginning of season, then i noticed they let stock run out. good follow up service if needed. one of the better customer service establishments.

Tool Pro sells gas and electric models. Their sales people are pretty helpful.

I bought a Black & Decker lawnmower and string trimmer over a year ago. I had a very high opinion of Black & Decker after owning garden and shop tools from them in the U.S. since the 1970's. Compared to the tools I bought in the U.S., the stuff they sell here is junk. Not worth the price premium for their name, in my opinion.

The string trimmer went into the trash- a small but crucial plastic part broke and the replacement part is not available. So much for after-sales support from Black and Decker. A 450 Baht trimmer from Tesco works just fine and I can throw away three of them for the cost of the Black & Decker. Decker.

The lawnmower has had its problems with the power cord and Tool Pro, bless their good-intentioned hearts, on multiple occasions failed to properly repair the cord (total time in their shop was months). I have since done the job myself, and am not optimistic about their chance of completing the next repair successfully.

I doubt you can get better service elsewhere . There is some question in my minds as to whether one of the other brands available in Udon can make a better mower here than Black and Decker.

Thanks for your kind offer Stan,But I will need to buy one anyway,as the one I brought over from the U.K.7 YEARS ago finally wants to go to Lawnmower heaven,But well had my moneys worth out of it !!!

I bought in the U.S., the stuff they sell here is junk. Not worth the price premium for their name

they do sell some name brand junk here. stuff they wouldn't even try to sell in japan or usa. my vios for example, you couldn't sell that in usa for 16 k bucks, matter of fact they don't, it's only 12 k. they tried and echo, even more scaled down, and discontinued effort. don't know about europe, but usa shoppers are picky, will return, and will get refund. here, the locals buy junk, then buy it again and again and again.

to me, you really don't by anything here, you just rent it. you know it's going to break, and have to buy another. the mower, weed wacker, pressure washer are the only long term items i've had, that are standing the test of time, except for what i brought over or bought from usa. everything else has crapped out, especially electronics. batteries are a joke here. don't last very long. everything seems to be past technology at hi tech prices. depending what it is, i go local, buy the cheapest thing i can get. last just as long and simply rent another after it craps out.
