Can’t access some options?

Yesterday I could not access ‘View New Posts’, came good today. Now I’m not getting the ‘Quote’ facility in any threads.

Done the usual housekeeping!

Anyone else?

i also can't seem to stay logged-on long enough to even post anything or read my messages? is there like
a 60 second time-out feature? certainly keeps the prose brief, succint to the point kind of stuff. rapidio

Dero any chance of a 'screen shot' that might give Lee a clue or two.

Calli all Forums close members open accounts that have not had activity in 'x' minutes. That is standard & good house keeping. Not sure what the 'x' is on Udonmap, but nearer 60 than 5 from my past experiences.
If you don't want this facility to impair your postings then just click the 'log me on automatic' box when logging on..

thank-you for the explanation Sir bobhelm, Yes i've noticed that to be true, you are timed-out automatically
and eventually your userid disappears from the screen. a very practical feature for those who forget to log-off.

Maybe you were not logged in at the time? If for some reason you were logged out neither the 'quote' or 'view new post' links will show.

If possible could you do a screen shot the next time this happens. I just want to make sure you're logged in when this is happening.

BTW the auto logout is set to 1 hour, therefore if you do not use the forum within this period of time you will be automatically logged out. As Bob says if you use the 'log me in automatically' feature you will not have this problem.

I've just run a permission test on your account so I can see what you would see when logged in. The following is a screen-shot, and as you can see all the icons appear.



Therefore I'm thinking it may have something to do with your browser settings. Have you un-ticked load images automatically or changed some other setting. If not try doing a hard refresh e.g. CTRL+F5. If that still doesn't work try another browser like IE, Opera or Chrome. Check your FF browser version also.

Thanks Lee, using IE now and all appears to be OK including the "Quick Reply" option I was missing also .

Will look at FF. I'm on holiday at the moment using my notebook, was OK for the 1st few weeks?
