Cat internet connection

Hi I recently moved into a house in the Sinchai thani Area which is near udon property inside the ring road.
Cat telecom set up the internet connection. Outside the house is a fairly thick black cable, inside the house they used a thin white i think phone cable which they connected to a Zyxel DSL modem.
I payed for the 16mbps standard package for 2290 bt. The max speed seems closer to 12-13 mbps. This I could handle but the The connection has not been very reliable & sometimes slows down or stops altogether. I,m not sure if I have a faulty modem or not that is causing it to stop sometimes.
Has anyone else had simalar experiences with Cat & or the Xyxel DSL modem?.
What other internet options to I have if any, I'd be happy to pay more to get a reliable fast connection, preferably with a
cable modem. thanks J

I'm having the same problems with CAT. Last week the connection was very unreliable, it would either slow or drop altogether so I had to disconnect the router several times a day. The problem gradually got worse so I called CAT and they put me on to one of their technicians. It took them a couple of days however they eventually fixed the problem.

Unfortunately the fix didn't last long because I've been having the same problems over the last couple of days. I guess it's time to call up that technician again.
