does anyone want to change pounds for baht?

I have 50 pound notes and want to change them. Any idea in Udon who gives better rate or is anyone going to the UK and want to change them? I want to change about 30-40k. thanks.

I suspect not. Nobody would openly money-launder that amount?

And even if there was a Brit with that amount of spare Baht floating around, what idiot would trust someone on a forum to have genuine notes.

I suspect this maybe wind up but if this man is genuine and the BIB read this a visit to him maybe on the cards. Hope he's got proof of how he acquired the cash.

Suspect the BIB wouldn't be over worried, but the Bank of England might well wan't to know how that much cash left UK and ended up in Thailand

Presumably he or she declared the cash at customs coming into Thailand,also if any damage or writing on the notes then the Thai Banks usually refuse to change to Baht.
Also presume easy to spot a fake note or not :-k

yer i will thanks i asked uk bank notes to be clean few with ink on i have been inlos for 6 years was in pattaya but now want a quiet life i think ill go bkk done a millon there couple years agoo got a good rate long gone are the 74s to the pound.

Sounds like a good idea Utd,can blend in easier in Bangkok,many options to cash 1000 pounds here and there in countless exchange booths without drawing too much from the authorities.Since you have been here 6 years,am sure you will look to stay another 6 years from the 30/40k sterling.Funnily enough your last post did not look as if English is your mother tongue yet you have a pile of sterling cash. :-"
