Cheap Charlies

Postby wazza » November 21, 2010, 10:16 am

Incidently there was a bar opposite the Pullman Hotel in KK, called Cheap Charlies - it closed after 12 months

Cheap Charly in KK close afther 12 months? Reason? Could it be there are no beerdrinkers in KK? How about a Cheap Charly bar in Udon selling the beer on a 1 bath netto profit. The 1 Bath Beer Bar©

If Frans drinks at his own 1BB Bar every day, he can make a fortune @ ฿1/bottle. :D

Reading above about the Pullman hotel in KK, and trying to plan something nice for our wedding anniversary on 25th Nov, I just went to Accor website, plugged in my member number (member since 1999) two night stay with breakfast, member's rate, including all taxes, price quoted US$344.08.

WHAT?

I realize their system is sometimes wacky. On their A-club site, the full rate also just showed as $649.93, with lower rate higher than other site. Not important, we'll turn Udon into a romantic paradise on Thursday night which will still be in keeping with the cheap charlieness of this topic.
