The builders are indeed ... slow , the flooring / under floor lighting finished tomorrow , then on the the next delight the chippy ,, carpenter . The Fondue menu is pretty much sorted just gotta get the venue its self finished.

IMO opinion as we live in Thailand it would be foolish not to aim at the working , middle class Thai customer many of whom love to try new food and drink choices especially imported tastes n ideas , the feedback has been excellent from our regular Thai customers so fingers crossed FONDUE WITH A THAI TWIST will work out ,,,,.

The fresh coffee our very own blended roasted beans is spot on , selling beans from dispensers or ground coffee (4 choices of grinds) and of course by the cup to drink ,,, 25 bt per cup is also a fair price IMO

Ref specials Pomps ...theres always specials on at CC ,,, and yes the BBQ and ixed grill packs are still on the go - i cant promote or remember everything......sorry.

Some new stufff ... Veal is now available , as is 2 more newly imported ciders APPLE AND PEAR ... the cider list now totals 12 diferent types sold in 4s , 12s and by the 24 case .......... NOW from 90 bt per can.

The 5 apartments are coming to completion with numerous parties .... details to follow.

Hello All.

Took delivey of some new products today in the form of top end tea Earl Grey and Darjeeling along a whole range of speciality teas like apricot , caramel etc ... this leads to to the reason for this post .

After serving just a few cups of the above its apparent that CCs customers like the idea of tasting these dare i say "up market" teas with this in mind at the same time as we start with the fesh coffee we will be starting AFTERNOON TEAS of the traditional style ......

So as n when the builders shake a leg we will be serving Earl grey or Darjeeling in a nice big pot with china cups of course , this will be set menu served with cucumber sandwiches , traditional fruitcake and scones with crean and imported preserve .................... i realise quite literally this wont be everyones cup of tea (boomboom) and i may be stark raving bonkers but this idea is alive n well in Bkk in the posher hotels n restuarants it may already be here in Udonthani , im not sure however the fact CC now stock these tea products ............lends me to think ..... why not give it a whirl overlooking Nong Sim Lake.

It goes without saying both the EG and Dj teas are available for sale in the shop in convienient 25 bag boxes priced at 195 bt ,, loose tea is also available.

Back to the builders ,,, things are moving slowly tho some work is being done off site , and the glass fondue tables are here in Bkk as is the new commercial coffee grinder n machine etc hopefully it will all come together in the next week or so ,,,,,

When all is completed including the new pool table which was ordered today ... this will double up as an English style cold buffet table as we will be hosting our first wedding ceromony (not mine) and reception/party in May and if all goes well will do a few more in the future .

fRESH HAM HOCKS fully loaded with meat boil or roast top quality 180 bt per kg - very unusal unless you own a pig farm.

Skinless pork breakfast sausage again excellent quality COOK FROM FROZEN only 65 bt per 400g pack ... thats ridiculus .

Hi All

Pleased to say CC and all it entrails is now registered with the Thai THAI TOURIST Board / TAT and we have been chosen by a few companies as a call off point for their tours n trips up country and over to Laos ,, usually Malaysian or Singarporean they love a good English brekkie and buy a few things fron Arkwrights along with the photo opp with Arkwright n Granville ,,,, had our third group so far with others booking so really pleased with that ,, still waiting for our official plaque from the TAT.......... great feed back from the tourists they love Udon and the lake ...and Mashes sausage ,,, lovely people to have at CC .

What more can i say ,,, quality middle and lean back bacon @ 150 - 175 bt per kg WHILE STOCKS LAST also skinless pork breakfast sausage cook from frozen in 400g packs only 65 bt per pack or 5 packs for 285 bt .... thats daft .

Hello all .

Been busy lately building my bomb shelter , time for a quik update

On a serious note i want to point out that from now on and to comply with new food laws coming in all the sausages sold at Chern Chim will be 100% MSG FREE ...NO MSG at all , as such and being a preservative this means the sausage will be better cooked from frozen not defrosted s the shelf life when defrosted is minimal . The sausages are packed easy to seperate so no probs ,,, inturn no wastage and taste better.

I know its short notice but the shop is open for SHOPPING ONLY TOMORROW , no cooking SORRY ............ having some leccy work done plus my missus ia away to see the orange mafia with her grey minge gang so mash is havin a steady one ,,, just telephone and i will serve im only in the apartment nextdoor playing with mi sausage .

I did just that Astana ........ no cooking food , served a few shoppers but didnt fully open so no staff and wasnt tied to the shop all day , maybe thats the way to go on Sundays in the future. I was fully weewaxed ready for Monday morning .

Jon has been having a few connection issues to UdonMap & as I was there yesterday I promised him that I would take some photos of the apartments that are being built near his shop.

There are 4 'double' units & 1 single. The single has already been let & is the farthest away (the top of the L shape) in the attached photos.
The two end double units have already been let, but the two central units are still available.
The double units consist of a large bedroom that has all en-suite facilities. There is also a 'dressing/make up' area in the bedroom, although this could equally be used as an area of a 'home office'. The bedroom is air conditioned & is separated from the living room by a sliding door.
Just off an equally sized living area there is a small kitchen area & also a partially covered & completely private outdoor area at the back. There is also room to sit outside at the front & a parking area outside each apartment.
It is all enclosed & gated with only the tenants having a key to the front gate.

If anyone is interested in renting the two remaining apartments then please drop by & see Jon in the shop.
I believe that he is looking for long term tenants (yearly contracts) but I guess he might be interested in shorter term renting if the price was right.

The units will be fully furnished & available in about a week or so - that is a Thai builders week, so probably best to plan for early April. In fairness all the building work is now complete but even the 'finishing off' work can run into unexpected snags.
