Jon,keep Paul cooking the roast spuds in the oven and selling them, finished the supply given to me.Thx again

Good to see some quiches now in stock, hope you can get a good selection in soon.

On a side note, maybe all your readymade foods should be put in the upright fridge which is currently being used for your cold drinks and get a standard fridge for the drinks. 8)

The cod loins are sold individually by weight pomps and retail about 120-130 bt per peice (200g). pleased you liked the curry chutney great on a sausage sarnie or with pork pie .

ref my loins wazza , i think upon closer inspection you would find my loins to be tender and very fresh no preservatives nessessary and theyve been about abit in 44 years . CHERN CHIM QUALITY FOODS - SCUNNY JON " THE SAUSAGE ' QUALITY LOINS.

News stuff in CC includes - big steak n kidney suet puds , scotish black pudding , cheese n onion pasties , jam and blubery tarts just like ya mams , and a very spicy jalfrezi indian curry.
Our container arrives in the next few days so all the imported items willbe replenished and ome new ranges coming in . we will have walkers shortbread in soon amongst other things.

just seen the TOPS prices for turkey and we will be cheaper per kilo for the boneless breast and the same price for whole birds. The added bonus of buying your turkey at CC is you get to get to see my loins at the same time OHH HAPPY DAYS .

Good point Digger.
I've often wondered the same. I am in no position to judge the quality of the food or prices charged at the shop. I have spoken to people who have shopped there who tell me that prices are rather high although if one requires these products, that are not usually available in Udon, then one must accept that the shop is a business and not a charity. I would imagine that the costs of importation are quite high and naturally have to be passed onto the consumer.
One thing I don't understand is the 50 pages of threads which appear to me a form of promotion and advertising or am I looking at it from a wrong prospective and should just be classed as a form of information to the members of the forum. Slightly off subject I see the new 24 hour MCDonalds is near completion. Can't wait to get round a juicy quarter pounder

Nah,we are all not the same,ta vely much. :D Me,a Londoner,Jon a Northerner,and Wazza........ :-k :-#

Probably about 10 pages maybe of friendly banter but as they are a sponsor then up to them how to advertise their goods/products with the other pages and customer feedback along the way.Remember Nongs ribs thread and how many pages that lasted!
As have mentioned before, the only supplier up here before was NongKhai direct and judging by their prices, they must have been charging us a premium for some of the imported goods!

Room for all of us,if you want burgers then McDonalds is where you should go. 8)

Most certaily not all the same person , i started the thread a few weeks before opening the shop and if you go thru the entire thread now some 50 pages you will see its a mix of info , banter , promotions and feedback ( good n bad ) and by numerous different people . of course i use the forum to highlight whats happening with stock etc and thus keeps the shop name in the minds of forum participants as a sponsor i dont see the problem with that.
ref prices in the shop , i do at all times remain very price consious and whilst trying to obtain more and more imported goods the consumer must remember the logistics , tax and customs tea money etc involved when importing , as an example the Thai costoms know that our next containerwill contain important christmas stock like booze and confectionary so they need to drink more tea this time of year i dont change my prices in the shop just swallow it up in my expenses.

just to add got some morrocan sardines and some nice big thick cut T-bone steaks in stock today.

& you are absolutely correct, you are reading an advert. The owner of Chern Chim has paid for it & is quite entitled to put on it what he wishes in order to advertise his business. It is the sponsors who pay for the forum to be run.
Jon is also a straight up sort of guy & is happy to take some stick from some people about his business (some possibly justified, some certainly not) & respond in a positive manner.
If you find the thread in some way offensive to your sensibilities then I can only suggest that you do not read it.
