Hello all.

Following the recent sudden death of Howard from Bunters foods his wife as asked me to convey her thanks to all from the Udon area who have passed on condolences in any way , Howards cremation took place yesterday.

I had a chance to talk with H's wife and she has said that the Bunters products and name would remain and the factory will be running again ASAP when things have calmed down - suffice to say the many people who have enjoyed Howards cracking food range will be able to carry on doing so . The quality of all the Bunters products will not be comprimised in any way remaining exactly the same as all the staff where expertly trained by H ,,, the only changes will be in the ordering department which is down to me .

Jon,am sure there are plenty from the Udon area who have had the Bunters range and just hope that despite this sad loss that his products can continue to be bought.
As have said before steak 'n kidney pies of his were easily the best out of all on offer oooop here

I got the impression from Howards wife that the Bunters business built by them simply has to continue , they supply many restaurants and private customers in BKK and a fair chunk of the Pattaya market too , i for one am very pleased i will be able to carry on stocking their stuff.

Just to cheer you up Pomps while you are sunbathing in Clacton on Sea here in Udon its been pissing down non stop for the last 12 plus hours - Adunyadhet rd is now a river , on a happier note the girlies from soi 2 are doing a miss wet t shirt parade !!!!!!!!!! ....... i love this location .

Some stock news - restocked with the Indian curry range - korma , tikka and madras ( all with big chunks of chicken breast) to go with that mushroom pilau rice and nan breads ( choose any curry plus rice plus a nan bread for 150 bt )
On the eat in side we have a "99" on the menu thats vanilla ice cream with a Cadburys flake - or go for the "69" NO ICE CREAM NO FLAKE JUST ASK MY GRAN !!!

My gran only has one tooth a - big buggar right in the middle of her cake hole , so i suppose you could say the 69 comes with TOOTH - im sure she will work round it !!

Hello ALL.

The CC breakfast menu certainly seems to be well received by many in Udon both expats and Thais , best ever day today with over 20 seperate eat in or takeaway orders from the brekkie menu - not bad for what is predominately a deli , minimart and frozen food shop .
I have been very suprised by how many Thais like the bacon buttie and fatboy sausage sub - we now take decent size orders on a daily basis for the main post office , several banks , nurses at the Udon hospital and even the immo office at the airport . At the moment orders are over the phone and prepared ready to be collected so cutting down any waiting time - who knows may introduce a delivery service in the future ( i think that will be down to the new CC owners ) .

All I can say is them Thais have got taste then.

Popped in whilst passing today and indulged in the Sausage Sub, great Cumberland, beautifully soft and fresh roll spread with 'proper' butter and topped with lashings of HP, washed down with a good ol' brew made Northern style, not your weak Southern softy stuff....I'm a simple sole but what a taste of home....beats sticky rice & bamboo hands down imo.

Think this will be my regular taste of home breakfast venue, the bacon sub another patron was eating looked positvely mouth watering, if I didn't have to shoot off would've given that a go too, also admittedly was quite stuffed as he doesn't scrimp on the fillings.

Hello all .

A quick update ref the shop - new in today cheese and onion flavour SMASH INSTANT MASH POTATO , Id never seen or heard of this before so thought would give it ago , just got the one case to see how it sells , i tried it with a cumberlanf fatboy for my brekkie and bloody lovely twas too.

Also now restocked with cornish pasties now in two size normal @ 75bt or abnormal @ 85bt.

Hello All.

A traditional British addition to the CC cafe menu starting tomorrow in the shape of BANGERS n MASH - 2 Cumberland fatboy sausages served with mash potato and gravy , includes a mug of PG tea or coffee @ 120bt , add mushy peas or baked beans @145bt , IF you are still not satisfied add one of my grans bread puddings served with cream @ 195bt for the lot ............ then its of to the gym !!

Jon,when are you restocking the Heinz onions in vinegar as when last at your shop you had run out. Was a pleasure to meet Trubrit in there enjoying a sausage sub.
I enjoy logging into Scunny's website,amusing they have a special DVD of all their highlights from last season,presumably all of 15 mins
