As I've already stated, I'm not opposed to abortion.
I am opposed to hypocrisy, however.
Anyone who berates others for executing an admitted mass murder but defends crushing the skull of a developing fetus, mincing the body and sucking it out through a straw, is a hypocrite.

I suggest that you read the OP again then Tex.
This thread is not about an admitted mass murderer, it is about someone who was executed for a single crime that he never admitted to & was, in fact, innocent of.
I cannot see the hypocrisy in stating that is an unacceptable occurrence that should never be permitted to happen again no matter what views an individual holds on other subjects.
The only hypocrisy I can see is by an individual trying to divert the topic away from the subject started by the OP. Presumably because the arguments in favour of capital punishment are all negated as long as 1 case like this occurs.

I will also repeat my request that if you wish to debate abortion, then start a thread on it, any other reference by you to that topic on this thread will be deleted.

Man cleared after 18yrs on death row
Posted 3 hours 45 minutes ago

A man who spent 18 years on death row in the US state of Texas has walked free after he was cleared of murder charges.

Anthony Graves was sentenced to death after a convicted murderer claimed he helped him kill six people and burn down their home.

But two weeks before his execution the man signed a sworn statement, admitting he lied about Mr Graves's involvement in the crime.

Mr Graves says the first thing he did when he was freed was to call his mother and ask her to make his favourite meal.

"When I got outside the jail I called her and I asked her what she was cooking, and she said why? I said because I'm coming home," he said.

"She couldn't believe it - I couldn't believe I was saying it. I've been eating ribs - I've been eating ribs and just taking it all in."
