Soffell Mosquito repellent lotion.
Gives 7-8 hours protection.

I buy in bulk from Makro, works out a lot cheaper.

If you do get bitten when you forget to use the mossie lotion, then Systral Cream (Chlorphenoxamine) from all good Pharmacies. Great stuff.

Cream against bugs and mossies

Hi,
I've used Sketolene for the last six years. It is very good. Do not get the spray on type. Sprays tends to be a bit of a hit and miss affair, IMO, the angles you have to get to to ensure full coverage, and having to turn off the fan when applying. Get the roll on type far better, and better coverage. Lasts for at least 8 hours, i think thats what it says in Thai. on the can. The last time i bought it, it was in Tescos near the K.K. road. It's in a small can about 4 inchs high.
Like you i was bitten a lot for the first three years. Seems they don't like me now. Still saves money by not buying to much repellent.
Cheers Doug.

Cream against bugs and mossies

OFF has now a non oily spray which feels better.

Once stung I use I use a piroxicam cream, like Feldene (blue tube) or a Thai brand. Is actually a cream for musclepain, but works fine for me.

Will try the Systal cream for a change when I find it.

I must be a very lucky man...been here over 6 years and rarely get bit. I believe it is something to do with the odour your body gives off. Before anyone has a go, I am not referring to BO :|

Had a friend who was lucky like that, drank beer like a fish (not saying you do dave). He always claimed he had a special aroma that kept the mossies away :D Just another helping tip for Mash da farmersist

Cream against bugs and mossies

I use an herbal cream that does not have an English name. Send me a PM with a Thai speaking person's telephone #, my wife will call you to give the name.
Or, you can go to the pharmacy where we buy the stuff: starting from Tungsi Muang past Ngee Soon turn into the first right; 'Sombun' pharmacy will be on your left where a few words of English is spoken. It is a greeninsh colored cream, comes in a small (50gm) glass bottle, costs 50-60 baht. It keeps the buggers away, and if already bitten takes the itch away.
