Criminals in Thailand beware

Bit of a strange story really. I always thought that this happened automatically to anyone entering the country, but, obviously not.
As it is a "Pattaya initiative" does it mean they will still be safe elsewhere??

They have always been able to access these it is just that they are telling everyone now . Why, that's the question.

Just like most governments/law inforcement agencys they must make themselves look good in the press, no matter how much they let the criminals or terrorest know how they are trying to be caught!

I think the proof of the pudding will be how successful the new set up will be, not just a couple of high profile & highly advertised successes & then back to business as usual.
This fact is a pretty damming statement about the inadequacies of the current system.
He said they also had a list of about 1,000 foreign nationals with arrest warrants issued by Thai courts.
