Damn Cookies

For some reason I am now getting an error message when I try to use Gmail webmail. It says my IE8 needs to have cookies enabled. As far as I know it is enabled, Googled how to and followed the instructions but it still gives the same error message.

I am only guessing but maybe I had an MS update and this shut down cookies. Don't know if this is right and would like to solve the problem rather than doing a system restore if possible.

Any ideas?

Personally my first attempt to solve this would be to use Chrome, FireFox or Opera instead of IE8.
If the problem persists then a MS update could be the issue.
Personally I doubt this to the extreme, it would be a strange update indeed I think..
I think if you try another browser the odds are the problem will not be there.
