Chan 3 reporter last night attended the girl's funeral.....lots of tears, of course, as the family/friends poured coconut water on the outstretched hand of the girl just before cremation (a scene I don't think I ever recall seeing at stateside funerals). The reporter then says she's going to visit the clinic where the girl had the braces installed. As she's walking along what looks like the back stretches of a night market, she reports seeing the clinic ahead......a tall, long haired, short skirted, high heeled something standing in the doorway. The reporter inquires, Do you install braces here? The 'something' answers in a husky voice, No, no, we don't do that here....we fix people's hair here.
The reporter (a young 24-ish Christiana Amanpour) goes across the street and asks another vendor if the shop in question does braces. Oh sure, the guy says.....all the time.
Judging from what I saw on TV, the girls handing over large sums of cash for braces probably aren't the ones that need to worry. But I'd be worried about having anything installed in my mouth by the tall, long haired, short skirted, high heeled, husky voiced something or another.
