Do you have Thai stepchildren?

Long distance relationships, mixed relationships etc...

My current T/W has a daughter from previous "MISTAKE" as she puts it. We have bee together for 3 years, married for just over 1. Her child is an ANGEL. Well mannered, polite, speakes English fairly well. Wifes parents helped when help was needed. Now, not needed. Her ex-boyfriend, MISREABLE LOUT, has nothing to do with their child, until I came along. Now he wants to be "Daddy" and his most useless parents now want to take care of her. Amazing huh, once they think money can be gotten, they turn all Lovey-Dovey. Not with this Yank or not with the Wife either. She told them in no uncertain terms. SAY OUT OF HER LIFE & LEAVE US ALL ALONE" Since they (wife and ex-boyfriend were never married) he does not have much of a leg to stand on. Well, so I have been told anyway.

Back to point. Yes, raising a Thai child can and is a wonderful experience, as long as the others parents and their ex, stay the f*ck out of it.

Best of Luck and Enjoy !!!!

=D> I couldn't agree more!!

During some ''trying''times in establishing boundaries related to parenthood, our daughter ''confided''in me that she thought about her father sometimes!

I assured her that if she wanted to see him or his family,we would absolutely allow it,but she needed to understand that if that happened, our lifestyle might be interrupted with the conflict of guardianship the main cause!Since she professed unhappiness for living with his family and him in the past,it might not be the best thing for all of us!

She thought about it for awhile and then one day told me that she missed some of her friends and children she had there, that she didn't really miss him or his family!Whew!!!I was glad to hear that!

I think alot of it was testing the new ''boundaries'' and expectations involved in our relationship because now she is 16 and she knows if she wants to go visit them or even move there,we would allow it,although it would break our hearts!

She flatly states that she has no desire to go there ,even for a visit now!
