If it was a 5 match series you would fancy Barcelona to win 4 but this is a one off,so you never know ! [-o<

AS EXPERTLY PERDICTED BY MR MASH !!!!!!!!.

There are football gurus and there are pretend football gurus , ive never ben a person to say" i told you so " but I TOLD YOU SO !!! ........... Mashes 3 football predictions of the year 3 - 1 to Barca , last neet , Everton to draw Scunthorpe in the FA cup and sadly Scunthorpe Utd to go down.....i might add clarevoyouerrance services to the stock list at CC.

Behold the voice of the the future ,,,,,, Liverpool to win the EPL , Cardiff City the Champinoship and Scunthorpe Utd League 1 .... next season.

3 FOR THE FUTURE ......... Yingluck will triumph and the LOS thrown in to turmoil with the army is on the streets !!. DermotC will return to UM and admit to wearing sox n sandels !! despite prices going up all over he world a jar of Branston pickle will stay the same great value at CC.

Thanx to the UM member who texted me at 4 am to tell me the CL FINAL score knowing i was watching it this morning , alas i already knew it before kick off ,,,, hahaha.

European Club Football 2010/2011 season

In many ways it was a re-run of the 2009 final in that United started brightly for the first 10 minutes then Barcelona assumed total control.
Rooney did give United hope with an excellent equaliser, against the run of play, but once Messi scored Barca's second that wa it.
Instead of dwelling on Uniteds shortcomings I prefer to pay tribute to the excellent way Barcelona played. At the moment they are head and shoulders above any other club side in Europe and probably the world.Their boss,Pep Guardiola,is only 40 and must be running Mourinho very close for the title of "special one."
Messi is a cut above other players, including Ronaldo, and just parades his superb skills never retaliating for some of the rough treatment he suffers.
But you look at the current English sides.....United,Chelsea,Arsenal,Spurs,Liverpool even Citeh....and look at the amount of team rebuilding required and you wonder how long it will be before another English team graces the Champions League Final again ??

Getting to the CL final is one thing , winning it another ,,,, i can see any of the big 7 clubs highlighted above getting to the final most seasons but rarely winning it !!

Spot the odd one out ??? ........ Chelski - becos all the others have a manager.

The game went very much as I expected.
I actually don't think United were that much worse than Barcelona. Messi was the huge difference. I think if he had not played, or had been neutralised by United, then a very different outcome would have been possible.
United no longer have an 'enforcer' in their side & Messi was very much left to run the show - which he showed again he is more than capable of. I am not sure that Barcelona sans Messi would be very much better than the top 5 or 6 Premier sides.

If Citi decide to test the waters with a massive bid it would be a very different prospect in Europe next year.

As for United...Wesley Snider looks a must to put some bite back into midfield. Giggs (maybe because of non footballing matters) very much looked his age & Scholes has surely played his last game...

Very surprised to hear that you think Messi was the only difference between the sides Bob. One player does not a team make! EVERY Barca player played well last night. Their passing was a sight to behold, just beautiful.

Im upset United lost but to watch Barcelona play football like that was just a thing of beauty. They are in a different league to any other European side.

Meanwhile, pictures have surfaced on Twitter of Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard celebrating United's defeat by the Spanish giants. Also City of Manchester put on Flood Alert as 50,000 Man City fans pissed themselves laughing! Congrats. to Swansea City on gaining promotion to BPL after emphatic 4-2 win over Reading, will they be Ladbrokes'favourites to go right back down? Congrats to Mash for predicting CL final result, only hope his 2nd prdiction scrawled on my bill, viz. Toffees to be relegated next season is far off the mark, otherwise I know where the next pckt. of OATIES will be goin'
